ESSENCE BROWN

Basketball Coach | Educator | Former Collegiate Athlete| Basketball Official

Essence Brown is a Washington, D.C.-area basketball coach, educator and former collegiate basketball player dedicated to helping young athletes develop their skills, confidence and basketball IQ.

A former guard at Howard University, Brown competed at the collegiate level and brings firsthand experience as a student-athlete into her coaching philosophy. Her playing career included documented performances for Howard, including a 23-point game against North Carolina A&T and recognition as MEAC Rookie of the Week.

Brown has continued her basketball career through coaching at the high-school and AAU levels, working with young athletes and helping them prepare for competitive basketball while emphasizing discipline, confidence, accountability and development.
